Tuscor Lloyds Launch New Website

This month Tuscor Lloyds (UK) Ltd launched their new look website, offering a host of great new features that cover both general shipping related interests and improved functionality for our clients.

Tuscor Lloyds have long had a strong presence on the internet and believe that the future of communications within the shipping industry lies in internet based technologies. Indeed this belief is backed up by recent studies, which show a significant part of the working day is spent using the internet to research services and companies, compare pricing, follow up projects and gather information.

The redesign’s aim was to take advantage of developments in internet technologies. Providing a more progressive site, that is able to incorporate upgrades in the future without the need to re-build. Improve on speed and navigation so customers are able to scan or search the site in a far more productive way. We also wanted to make the site much more useful as a resource to shippers by increasing the amount of relevant information contained within.

New additions include:

• International Trade Guides (containing useful information on legal requirements and other relevant shipping info for Mexico, Brazil and Canada with more guides to follow.)
• Currency Converters
• Measurement Converters
• Hazardous Goods Guides
• Global Time Zones

As well as extra information, we have begun to integrate other technologies with the site, such as a smart phone version of the site, designed specifically for the smaller screen size of mobile phones. We have a sailing schedules app for android in production with the possibility of adding real time tracking for shipments; this will also be available as a desktop widget for PCs.
