Back in the Fold – Aman Returns Home

The Latest News From Tuscor Lloyds

After a successful term as director of the Mexico office, Aman Chabra has re-joined the team at the UK headquarters of Tuscor Lloyds, in Manchester

Aman Chabra started his career at the company in 2003. His first project account was Royal Mail (ground deliveries). He was responsible for the delivery of UK postal service operations worldwide including sea freight, road freight, depot facilities and general logistics.

Shortly after this, he helped to develop Tuscor Lloyds’ niche and emerging market divisions, specialising in areas such as Iraq, Afghanistan and East Africa. Whilst in the UK his accounts also included major retail, construction and oil and gas companies.

In 2006 he was given the director’s role in the Tuscor Lloyds branch office in Mexico. Based in Mexico City, he oversaw the expansion of operations, and brought in several new accounts. This culminated with the opening of the Pacific trade lane and the company now controls a substantial market share from China, India and the Far East.

During his tenure in Mexico, the company grew their Atlantic lanes significantly. New offices were established in the port city of Veracruz as well as on the Pacific coast at Manzanillo. The company now holds accounts with Mexico’s largest companies, including major supermarket chains, fashion retailers, key energy suppliers, and large civil infrastructure providers. In 2010 the firm carried over 8000 container units (TEU) via Veracruz and Altamira ports alone.

Aman holds a Bachelor degree from The Manchester Metropolitan University. He has attended various conferences in Mexico, and participated in interviews for various transport journals and magazines. He is widely regarded as an authority on the Mexico shipping market and he holds regular seminars at the Universities at Veracruz and Mexico City.
