Tuscor Lloyds’ project team have just completed a port to port shipment of three out of gauge cargoes transported from Antwerp, Belgium to Korsakov, Russia.

The shipment consisted of three excavators all to be shipped from Antwerp to Korsakov for a global mining company with operations in the Russian Far East. Tuscor Lloyds had assisted the exporter in reviewing various methods of shipments looking at both cost and reliable multi-sailing options. It was decided in the interest of speed a container carrier and flat rack shipment was best suited and the necessary arrangements put into place with the cargo being moved 3×40’FR.

One of the main reasons for taking the container option is that the shipper has the ability to clearly track the vessel and should there be any unforeseen delays had the option to discharge at an alternative port and make alternative arrangements. The cargo arrived promptly and we are pleased to have satisfied another client.
