HOW WE DID IT
Being the first Tuscor Turkey case study project, it was important to capture all the details and effort that went into making this shipment a success! The project consisted of transporting agricultural tractors of various sizes ranging from 2480kg to 4420kg. Once the cargo arrived at the Port of Derince in Turkey, a roll on roll off (RORO) service was chosen most suitable for this type of cargo movement. The Vessel set sail for a 70-day voyage, where the cargo was transshipped over Zeebrugge, Belgium before arriving in Veracruz, Mexico.
WHY TUSCOR LLOYDS?
We have ongoing relationship with the customer and changed the operations for the movement of these units from containers to move as RORO. This way we can move more Tractors together and get arrival sooner for the Customer.
BILLIE, PROJECT MANAGER:
“With the movement of Tractors via RO/RO we have been able to honour the customers required transit time and meet the arrival time for the final destination. With the help of our office in Turkey we are able to communicate and update all information as and when units arrive on Port and if any delays or problems incur. Additionally, to this, we provide plenty of photographs to show the conditions of the Tractors prior to shipping. It is also useful to show how the Tractors are loaded and secured to the vessel.”
